Currently, Entertainment Tonight has put up a video from the set of $80 million budget upcoming post-apocalyptic drama, "The Book of Eli that directed by the Hughes Brothers and starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. The set was made into a post-apocalyptic western and they've been shooting this film in a small town called Carrizozo at New Mexico.
The story of the film is about a lone hero who guards the Book of Eli, which provides knowledge that could redeem society. The despot of a small, makeshift town plans to take possession of the book.
Actor Denzel Washington will portray the lone hero in this a not-too-distant apocalyptic future who must fight across America to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Meanwhile, Gary Oldman will plays the bad guy, a character named Carnegie, who is the despot of a small makeshift town that's determined to take possession of the book Eli's guarding.
The film that is the brothers' first since "From Hell" in 2001 was scheduled to be released on January 15, 2010.
