Megan Fox in Fathom and Jonah Hex Big Screen Adaptation
>> Mar 4, 2009
Megan Fox is become the hottest commodity in Hollywood lately, is she the next Angelina Jolie? According to the trades, Fox is now attached to star in "Fathom," an adaptation of the Michael Turner-created comicbook, for Fox Atomic. The film will be written by Jordan Mechner, best known for designing the "Prince of Persia" videogame.
Megan Fox would play the sexy character, Aspen Matthews, who was found abandoned on a ship and is adopted by a military man. She becomes a champion swimmer and marine biologist who comes of age realizing she has water-based powers and is part of an underwater race. Fox actually bears a remarkable likeness to this comic character.
The actress, who will continue her journey in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and also ready to release the new film called "Jennifer's Body," will produce with Safran Productions' Peter Safran, Brian Austin Green and Steve Bessen. Turner, who passed away last year, will remain as the project's executive producer.
In addition, Fox is also in final negotiations to star opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in "Jonah Hex," Warner Bros.' action Western based on the DC Comics character. In "Hex," Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex, a disfigured bounty hunter who is tracking down a voodoo practitioner that wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South. Jimmy Hayward will direct that adaptation starting in April for a August 6th, 2010 release.
