Shia LaBeouf Help Described The Fallen for Us

>> May 31, 2009

Via MTV recently, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" star Shia LaBeouf opening up about the villainous character The Fallen in his sequel film of the summer blockbuster. The 22-year-old actor started off by saying, "He is the king bee. He's the patriarchal figure, he's the main dude. He's what all of this came from."

"Basically, the Fallen is to them what cavemen, Neanderthals were to us," the actor who depicts Sam Witwicky in the "Transformers" series continued. "He's the ancestor, the first version of this exoskeleton. He's the first version of this sentient being. That's what he is. He's the origins of what they came from." Furthermore, LaBeouf shared on the baddie's design. "It's the design of the Transformer you see in the symbol, almost - at least, that's where the jump-off point of the idea was spawned from," he said. "That was the initial spark of his look, the actual Decepticon logo - which is cool." As for the relationship between The Fallen and Megatron, he uncovered, "It's the Emperor and Darth Vader - it's that kind of situation. He's the main villain, so two and two makes four. He's a badass. He has to be."

Despite his elaborate remark on the character, LaBeouf noted that he has yet to see the finished product of the robot. "I can't judge him yet, because he's not completely done," he stated. "I'll be as surprised as you guys will be. I'll be seeing it at the premiere."

Here is the description of The Fallen from the back of the toy box: "For millennia, he has waited. Thousands of years have dragged by as he recruited proxies, one by one, to scour the cosmos for the artifact he required. Now he finds he must return to the primitive, flesh-slug infected planet on which his quest began. Nothing will stand in his way this time. If need be, he will scour the surface of this disgusting world clean in the fire of his rage, and search through the blasted rubble for that which he seeks."

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will be released in theaters across the U.S. on June 24. Set a year after the end of 2007 blockbuster "Transformers", it follows Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes as they become the target of attack by Decepticons due to Sam's knowledge over the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history on Earth. Battling the Decepticons' effort to capture Sam, Autobots unite with U.S. military and an international coalition to fight back the villains' attack.
