Another 3-D Remake Consider The Swamp Thing

News came from Joel Silver, the producer of "The Matrix" series. He has offered up the possibility of a new "Swamp Thing" movie that may be developed using the infamous 3-D technology. The man spoke to a group of reporters currently in Beverly Hills, California on Friday, August 28 during a promotion of September-released thriller "Whiteout".
"I'm developing a picture now that I'd like to do...I'll hopefully do Swamp Thing, which is a movie we've had for a long time," the filmmaker first opened up about his future project, as quoted by Collider. He then continued, "We think that would be great to do in 3D. There are a couple of projects I'm thinking about (for the format) but not everything."
"Swamp Thing" is created by Len Wein and Berni Wrightson. Among the characters of DC Comics, he has been described as a humanoid mass of vegetable matter who fights to protect his swamp home, the environment in general, and humanity from various supernatural or terrorist threats. It has spawned into movies, TV series and video games.
The first big screen adaptation of "Swamp Thing" was done by writer/director Wes Craven in 1982. Starring Ray Wise, it revolves around a scientist who was transformed into a monster in a laboratory accident. It then got a sequel treatment in 1989 with Heather Locklear as the leading female character.
