>> Sep 19, 2009

After wrapping up their first work together in "Invictus," a film which Eastwood shot in South Africa with Matt Damon starring as ruby-player Francois Pienaar and Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela, Variety has reported that the director and Damon already decided to join up for another film.

"Hereafter," Clint Eastwood's next directing project for Warner Bros, with lensing on the thriller set to begin this fall. The script was penned by Peter Morgan, the screenwriter of "The Queen" and "Frost/Nixon." For Eastwood himself, this is a project which will move him into the supernatural territory. However, Warner Bros is keeping the plot under wraps beyond describing the project as a thriller in the vein of "The Sixth Sense."

Meanwhile, "Invictus" which previously known as "The Human Factor" is Eastwood's directed drama which based on a true story. Matt Damon play rugby star Francois Pienaar, who created, with Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman), an event that gave whites and blacks in South Africa a common cause to rally around as the country was trying to heal from the wounds of apartheid. Eastwood got the idea for the project from John Carlin's book "The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed the World," and the script is written by Anthony Peckham. The film was planned to release in December of this year.
