Full Awesome Action in “The Expendables” Promo Trailer
>> Oct 14, 2009
Though the official trailer for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming star-mongering actioner “The Expendables” hasn’t released yet, but to answer many of whom cannot wait to watch it, ComingSoon currently has posted the first promo trailer for the film which will hit theaters next August. The promo piece that you can check after the jump below quite reveals the tone of the film, and of course shows off some of the awesome battle that you would expect from the entire action star in it.
Filming began on March 28, 2009 in Brazil, New Orleans, and Los Angeles and is expected to be released on August 20, 2010. The film pays tribute to the blockbuster action films during the 1980s and early '90s, as the film includes action veterans from those decades (such as Stallone himself, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis). It also stars many other favorable names like Jet Li, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Charisma Carpenter, Giselle Itie, Brittany Murphy, David Zayas and Amin Joseph.
“The Expendables” tells the story of a team of the world's most dangerous and highly-trained mercenaries. They go on a mission to South America to overthrow and assassinate a powerful, evil dictator and his army, who have been causing devastation, chaos and torture for the last twenty years.
Due to the high level of anticipation of the online community and overwhelming positive reaction to early test footage, producer Avi Lerner has reported that there is already talk of making two more sequels, and a longer franchise, depending on just who makes it to the end of the first film intact.
