New Trailer and Behind-the-Scenes Clip for “2012”

Via Yahoo! Movies, two-minute behind-the-scenes featurette for "2012" has been made available online. Features commentary from the visual effect team as well as director Roland Emmerich, the clip centers the attention on the creation of one of the cataclysmic events, the massive tidal waves. Emmerich shares his concern over the sequences, reasoning that he has to hand over the work to visual effect team. In the meantime, the VFX people open up about the challenges they had to deal with when presented with the task to generate "a tidal wave of immeasurable proportion" believable. Also released is the new trailer for Sony produced apocalyptic film, and it still contains a condensed version of the 5-minute extended clip that has been released earlier. Based on the Mayan calendar's assertion that 2012 is the end of time, this global disaster movie presents an epic adventure about a global cataclysm leading to the end of the world. Despite its end-of-the-world tone, this disaster movie will focus more on the heroic struggle of the survivors. John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt and Woody Harrelson are among the cast. The film will shake U.S. theaters on November 11.
