New Stand Out Character Posters for “Kick-Ass”
>> Nov 7, 2009
Four new character posters from Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book “Kick-Ass” have been released online at IGN, which means we're probably not far away from the official trailer. Each of the one-sheets, which combine to form the title of the movie, focuses individually on Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, Big Daddy and Red Mist, the alter egos of Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), Mindy Macready (Chloe Moretz), Damon Macready (Nicolas Cage) and Chris D'Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) respectively. Reactions from Comic-Con were overwhelmingly positive and “Kick-Ass” immediately became one of next year's most anticipated fanboy movies. The script reads like Spider-Man set in the world of comedy with the tagline of the promotional footage even read, “With no powers comes no responsibility.” I just really can’t wait for this film to finally kick viewers’ ass on April 16, 2010. Check the thumbnail posters with link to the full size images and some extra stills after the jump.
Plot Synopsis: A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There¹s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Cage).

1 Remarks:
Very cute posters :) Although I never watch parodies and this kind of comedies, I think I'll check this one out :)
