“Fair Game” Trailer showing why Politic is Entertaining to Watch
>> Aug 19, 2010
Premiered to decent reviews at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer, now the film is on track for a limited theatrical release on November 5th, 2010 before it expands further on the 12th. Therefore, a promo trailer has been released for Doug Liman’s political drama “Fair Game” which is based on the story of Valerie Plame, whose status as a CIA agent was revealed by White House officials after her husband wrote a controversial New York Times article. The trailer, which is ready for you to watch after the jump, looks pretty intense and entertaining, promising a set of strong performances from Oscar-nominated actress Naomi Watts as Plame, Oscar winner Sean Penn who plays her husband Joe Wilson, Sam Shepard and Bruce McGill. In addition, Penn and Watts had such chemistry in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “21 Grams”, so it will be very interesting to watch the two of them together once again in one screen.
Plot Synopsis:
A suspense-filled glimpse into the dark corridors of political power, FAIR GAME is a riveting action-thriller based on the autobiography of real-life undercover CIA operative VALERIE PLAME (Watts), whose career was destroyed and marriage strained to its limits when her covert identity was exposed by a politically motivated press leak. As a covert officer in the CIA’s Counter-Proliferation Division, Valerie leads an investigation into the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Valerie’s husband, diplomat JOE WILSON (Penn), is drawn into the investigation to substantiate an alleged sale of enriched uranium from Niger. But when the administration ignores his findings and uses the issue to support the call to war, Joe writes a New York Times editorial outlining his conclusions and ignites a firestorm of controversy.

2 Remarks:
Watts and Penn.. cool.. can't wait!!
This is Sean Penn and Naomi Watts second collaboration and I'm sure those two will make a great screen couple again.
